I'll be writing more about this as a journal post but for now, I wanted to tell you all that the day after I made Queri's adoption post, he was hit by a car. We're all so shocked and sad... we almost made it.

These are pictures of a little dog that lives a block down from the school in Villa el Salvador. He is definitely the sweetest dog I've met on this trip as he loves being held and scratched. We've been watching him for weeks as he was once too small to climb out of the fence in front of his house. But now that he's a little bigger, he gets out and meets us on the road every day. Dennis has met his owner and judged her to be completely incompetent, which isn't too hard to see as the poor thing used to have a brother who died and is getting skinnier by the week. His food bowl is constantly filled with the same ancient chicken soup, which he still hasn't eaten. So we've been bringing him scraps to eat. Although there is a women who calls him hers, she hasn't been reluctant at the thought of giving him to us. We just need to find him a home... So please let us know if you're interested and I'll tell you more about him!
